How much is the ice cream market in Bulgaria valued? How has the pandemic affected demand, what is the sales trend in 2021?

-In the second year of the Covid pandemic, the ice cream market in Bulgaria decreased compared to 2020 by an average of 5% in both volume and value, falling to 17 million liters and BGN104 million . The pandemic has led to a significant shift in favor of ice cream for home consumption, which has increased its share at the expense of horeca products and impulse ice cream - for consumption on the go.

How are sales developing in the first five months of 2022?

- Compared to the same period last year in the first five months of 2022 we had a delay in the early loading of ice cream freezers, caused by the turbulent economic situation - mainly due to the drastic increase in prices of electricity, raw materials and supplies.
