French food and beverage giant Danone has named Dimitar Ivanov as the new CEO of its Bulgarian subsidiary, Danone Serdika, as of May 1, 2025.
Ivanov succeeds former CEO Lyubomir Spasov, who has run the company for the last three years and will now head Danone’s operations in Romania, the company said in a press release.
Dimitar Ivanov has over 15 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector in large international companies, including the last ten at Danone Serdika.
"I am motivated, together with the company's team, to continue its successful representation on the Bulgarian market through innovations and sustainable practices in line with Danone's vision - One Planet. One Health," Ivanov said.
Danone Serdika is a market leader in Bulgaria in fresh dairy and plant-based products, represented by brands such as Activia, Actimel, YoPRO, Danonino, Alpro, Na Baba, Fantasia and Danette.
