- What are the biggest challenges facing global companies in terms of implementing sustainable practices?
To meet their sustainability goals – both those they set for themselves and those imposed by the legislature, global companies must engage all participants in the supply chain. From the producer of the raw material, through the carrier and the manufacturer of the product, to the retail outlet and the end user – each of them has their own contribution to achieving a more sustainable future. This makes implementing sustainable practices challenging, as it requires constant efforts and ongoing dialogue with all units along the chain to realize the significance of their actions. If one participant in the process does not act actively and convincingly – the process is compromised. Therefore, a holistic approach, although labor-intensive, is the most effective.
