The Bulgarian Soft Drinks Association (BSDA) fully supports the objectives of EU Directive 2019/904 on reducing the impact of certain plastic products on the environment. It sets out a number of consistent measures to promote the transition to a circular economy across the European Union, achieve a circular life cycle for plastics and prevent pollution from being released into the environment. One of the requirements of the Directive is that, from 3 July 2024, the plastic lids on all single-use plastic beverage containers with a capacity of up to 3 liters must remain attached to the containers during product use..
