In 2024, Lesaffre Bulgaria celebrated its 25th anniversary. In the same year, the first social initiative of Lesaffre Bulgaria was launched - the Academy for Future Bakers. We spoke with Veneta Pisarska, manager of Lesaffre Bulgaria, about the anniversary and the company's presence in Bulgaria. The interview is part of the ALMANAC of Successful Businesses in Bulgaria.
Ms. Pisarska, what is the retrospective of the past 25 years of Lesaffre Bulgaria and how has the company's business changed?
The last few years have been very intense and our business and environment have changed a lot. Lesaffre Bulgaria follows this dynamic and accelerated its development. We created our baking center, the 49th in the global network, and with this we are now part of the Lesaffre Group innovation cluster. Along with this, over the past 10 years our team, product portfolio and customers have increased. There is no bakery in Bulgaria that does not work with our products, large bread manufacturers trust us in search of innovations for the local market and even products for export.
We work a lot on improving the taste qualities of the products, we conduct continuous research on the evolution of consumer taste preferences in order to offer manufacturers adequate solutions. In general, over these 25 years our business has completely changed; From an importer of fresh yeast, I can now say with my hand on my heart that we have reached the level where manufacturers trust us for the quality and origin of the products and seek us out for the expertise that the sales team possesses, develops and shares.
